It is a real pleasure for us to present this new album by Daniele Ciullini. An intense three tracks album features ambient sounds and industrial atmospheres, endless sonic rugs hanging in the fog that envelops the forgotten monuments of the title.

The random moments when its remembered to press record are the junctures captured and reworked into the raw body slowly defining itself as ‘strunkdts’. Isolated on the western coast of Australia, ‘strunkdts’ channels memories of rave, punk and broken hearts as eulogies for a dying and insane world. The trash, the chaos, the lies and the uncertainties that constitute a whole lot of nothing are the vessels thru which the work navigates. A haggard, paranoid projection of romantic days past into the ever present unknown. “we all star in hell” are one shots and teasers that were abandoned rather than finished.

Ambientazioni dark-wave, ambient e dub prendono forma su tappeti elettronici ed intricate trame sonore a cavallo tra musica sperimentale e ricerca techno. Taedium propone un sound oscuro e misterioso con evidenti richiami ad una cultura musicale ampia dell’autore che spazia dalla musica elettronica al dub e che si manifesta a sprazzi in ritmiche e voci che arricchiscono questo album dandogli una connotazione dark-techno-experimental mai monotona o scontata. Un viaggio musicale consigliato a chi piace immergersi nei suoni ed andare sempre più in fondo o lontano (FAR) come ci suggerisce il titolo dell’album.
